We're in the midst of a heatwave. Over the next few days, the temperature is supposed to be over 100 degrees F. I'm so glad we have the air conditioner for the bunnies. It doesn't cool thoroughly out there as the unit is small for the square footage, but it is comfortable for them.

Frau Rudy went for her well bunny visit and she is fine and healthy. As the vet put it to me, the only thing about her he didn't like was her haircut. We had given her a quick clip to keep her cool. It's not the most attractive, but it works.

No news is good news.

After more than a month from last post, I have nothing really new to add regarding the business.

It's hot and most people are on vacation and they are not interested in purchasing fiber, especially wool. So, sales are slow right now. It slowed down last summer also. That's okay. It gives us time to do work around the house.

Steve had vacation last week and I took just two days off. We spent Thursday over in Newport, RI visiting the mansions and pretending we were wealthy. We spent the next three days staining and sealing our deck.

The bunnies are doing well, but they have been suffering in the sweltering heat. Parts of the state reached 105 degrees F today. I was worried all day at work about them. I really thought we would lose them with the heat. When we got home, I gave them all new ice bottles and I washed their ears with cold water on a face cloth to help bring down their temperature. Meanwhile, Steve could not stand watching the little ones panting heavily in the heat and humidity. So what does my kind hearted husband do when we got home from work today? He went out a bought an air conditioner for the shed to keep them cool. Yes, an air conditioner for the bunnies. He tried to tell me that he bought it to keep the fiber at a constant temperature and humidity. But I know him better than that. I dread getting the next electric bill.

I haven't brought in any new products and I would like to do it, but I still haven't decided what direction to head. It's so hot now, I'm really having trouble focusing on orders.

It's already dark outside and I haven't even finished my chores tonight. Where did the evening go?
